The patrons here sure do have sticks up their butts. Service is friendly, but our server was practically whispering to us when she spoke. The food was decent, but as most reviews have mentioned, it's overpriced for what they offer. I had the salmon salad with their chilled tomato soup. I think my favorite part of the meal was the bread. It was super buttery, but it tasted great when dipped into the soup. The grapefruit juice tasted really fresh, but it was extremely sour. I had a bite of my friend's brussel sprouts salad and corn chowder soup, and I wish I had just gotten that instead! Though both soups were good, the brussel sprouts tasted a lot better than the salad that came with my salmon. I didn't feel very comfortable dining here because the people who eat here have a staring problem, but I would give it another shot because at least soup & salad are good here, and those aren't too expensive.

Fantastic! We have been here numerous times- drinks on the patio, celebrations, late night, and for brunch......it has never disappointed!

This place took a few times to grow on us due to their eclectic menu, but now that's one thing I love about it--we are loyal fans! The brussel sprout salad and vegan nachos are so freaking delicious. They also have Johnny's hamburgers, since they share the same ownership. You can ask for the burger/sandwich menu for dinner, if that's a craving. We've always had excellent service. Very helpful, attentive, and timely. Our food has consistently been good, I cant' think of a disappointment, and we've been here a lot. Their patio is awesome--they have a small fire pit surrounded by tables, they also have umbrellas for a super sunny day. Their large back room can accommodate events and parties, just book in advance. The dining rooms are designed with a modern, clean and simple feel, which creates a nice feel. West can get a bit more crowded later in the evening, but if you go for a 5:30/6:00p dinner, we have never encountered a wait. And Chef Eric often features unique dinner specials and desserts, he has kept us coming back!

I have been here several times and the Food, Drink and atmosphere never let me down. The wait staff know the menu very well, also they are very good at pairing which wine to drink. I bring out of town business associates there, dates and even a small bachelorette party. The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Love it!

I've been to West a couple times, and the food is good. The zucchini noodles keep me coming back! I typically eat gluten-free, and it is amazing to see a restaurant offer a healthy alternative to pasta. While I really like West's dinner, the star is the brunch! I ordered the classic eggs benedict sans english muffin, and it was absolutely delicious!

Buyer beware.....for price point the quality is simply not there. Even after getting past the sparse and juvenille wine list there is still much to be desired. I chose a fillet "the way you want it" which is an actual selection off of the menu. Unfortunately it never came the way I wanted it. Overcooked and then on the return grossly undercooked. When you asking people to pay $42 for a steak you should at least know how to cook it. Secondly it was obvious that their meat selection was far below the quality that should be expected for a $42 steak. Lastly on a customer services perspective we never saw the manager. Typically in a restaurant with price point expectations such as West you would expect at some point in the night to be visited by the manager or chef or someone similar just checking on your experience....needless to say we never heard from nor saw either....and even after I sent back my steak....which btw I never do. Save your money and look for a Texas land and cattle, a saltgrass or something along those lines and you will be much happier with your steak. One shining moment was indulging in West's bread pudding with goat cheese and berries. Good stuff.

We started off with the homemade chips, which were excellent. I ordered the $20 burger. The truffle oil was way overdone. The oil just poured out of the burger; it was a hot mess. The sweet potato fries were good, but not above and beyond other sweet potato fries I've had. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie. It was nothing short of AMAZING! The best I've ever tried. I will definitely return just to order it. The service was efficient and professional, though not overtly friendly. As I said, I will be back.

Had a very good brunch at West on a Sunday morning. I was expecting good food, but to be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I arrived at West with some friends around 11 on a Sunday. They were doing a brisk business, but it was never close to full. We sat in a comfortable booth with a great view of a large TV. The patio looked good as well, but it was raining off and on, so that wasn't an option. We were approached immediately by our server for our drink orders, which was great. After that, service wasn't spectacular. Our server was very friendly, but at one point he forgot a beer for one in our party, and it took around 10 minutes to finally flag him down and remind me. Also, it took a little while longer than it should to get the check. But, these are nitpicky things, overall, he was friendly, we were given our food promptly, and he was mostly on top of things. To eat, I went with the chicken fried steak breakfast. West uses tenderloin for their chicken fries, which I've not had before. The breakfast comes with a good size biscuit, 2 eggs, gravy, and their potato cake. The potato cake is a thin layer of shredded potatoes that is bound together, seasoned, and crisped on the griddle. And, it's fantastic. It's basically a patty of hash browns, but they get a textbook crispy exterior and fluffy potatoes on the interior. Fantastic. Likewise, the biscuit was strong. It was warm, easily came apart, and was fluffy but not so airy that it felt like nothing. The gravy was standard pepper cream gravy. Seasoned very well, which I find is an issue with gravy. You get a nice portion of gravy, easily enough to cover the biscuit and steak and have some leftover. The steak was exactly what is advertised. It is clearly hand breaded, and while the breading did not adhere well to the meat, it had a nice crunchy exterior and was also seasoned well. The steak was fork tender, they pound the meat flat but you still get a good sized steak. It went fantastic with the gravy. Some people may balk at playing $22 for a chicken fried steak breakfast, but this is a large breakfast, made with quality ingredients, and served hot and fresh. Highly recommended, and I will be making the drive from Norman to eat this meal again.

Had a business lunch there today. First time visitor and looking to eat light. We had everything at the table from chicken fried steak dinner to spinach salad. Great comments from all parties and my salad Wes excellent. Don't forget to check out the specials. Had a chilled gazpacho soup that was exceptional. Plenty to choose from on the menu with very good service to back it up.

The service at West is the reason for the 3 stars. The food deserves 4 stars but the service felt rushed and clumsy. That said I enjoyed the meal. The food was good and I liked the combination of flavors in the dishes. I will definitely dine at West again, but hope they can improve their service.

I must start coming here more often! Every time I come it's great and I always recommend it, but I myself don't come enough. I came on Sunday for a bridal shower hosted for my sister. We had a big long table out on the patio and enjoyed a great lunch and beautiful weather. I have a soft spot for patio dining! We started with zucca chips for the table (amazing and kind of healthy) and some bellini martinis! The martini was a little sweet and had rum in it which I'm not really a fan of. I had order envy for the mojitos that other guests got! I went with the brussel sprout salad for my main. Shaved brussels, dried apricots, slivered almonds and parmesan. It was highly recommend but a bit of a let down. Great components but it needed a little zing or something in the dressing. It was lacking flavor! Service was great, the bar is beautiful. I can't wait to be a full time OKC resident so I can come more often!

Mmm, love me some West! Everything about this place is great - food, service, atmosphere...let me explain: The food is fabulous - the zuccha chips (super thinly sliced zucchini fried and served with a creamy dipping sauce) are to die for! The risotto and steak is fantastic, and my personal absolute favorite is the chicken pot pie. Warm, filling, hearty and delicious, it just doesn't get any better than this. They also have cotton candy or warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert :) The service has always been great, and when we've had birthdays or something was wrong, they might just give you dessert on the house! The atmosphere is nice - a little more dressy than some places in OKC, but you can still get away with nice jeans. They have a nice long booth where they can accommodate large groups (up to 14 probably) and they have a patio that would be excellent when it's nice outside. Parking is a little limited, but there's an overflow lot that's up a ramp but not too far away. In summary, this is one of the first places I recommend - you really need to try it out!

I wish I could give West 4.5 stars. We had a really great experience there and will probably be back, but had just a few bumps off the rating. First of all, I LOVE the decor and feel of this place. I want to decorate my house like this. It's gorgeous. The bar display is really pretty, and it's just all around a really nice atmosphere. Some people mentioned the clientele here seems snobby - well, you are in Nichols Hills, so you can't be too surprised. No one around us seemed rude and our server was very friendly, so we were happy. We had a bottle of wine and started with the crab cakes, which came with a really nice sauce. I started with a house salad with the basil vinaigrette (really different from anything I've had but really good...I could eat basil by itself though), and my boyfriend had the potato leek soup. Having worked in these restaurants for years, we are pretty biased to Charleston's baked potato soup. He liked this better, which I didn't think was possible. It was better in that it had more potato flavor than butter and cream flavor. (I am NOT dogging on Charleston's baked potato soup here. But you know it has so much unhealthy stuff in it to make it taste that good! Haha) It was very very good and I was wishing I'd gotten some. I had the 5 oz. tenderloin with the bleu cheese and red wine topping, and my boyfriend had the NY strip. This is kind of where the half a star got knocked off...my food was very good; the steak was slightly overcooked, but still a tender piece of meat so I still really enjoyed it. We just felt like it was a bit overpriced. $36 for a 5 oz. tenderloin, and I think the 14 oz. strip was $32... I understand a tenderloin is a nicer cut of meat, and I was nowhere near hungry afterward, but it just seemed pricey for such a small amount of meat compared to something almost three times the size. Having said that, the bleu cheese crust was delicious and the red wine gastrique... amazing. I soaked up every bit of it with my steak and potatoes. We finished with the salted caramel brownie, which was to die for. Also topped with a homemade Crunch bar (I didn't know such things were possible) which was REALLY good, but also really rich with the brownie, caramel and ice cream, and kind of frozen from the ice cream so hard to break up and eat. The caramel was absolutely delicious though. I'm so down with the salted caramel trend, and this dessert was fabulous. They also bring out a complimentary spool (if that's the right word?) of cotton candy, which we thought was a really nice touch. It's so different, unique and memorable. And it tasted good! I was pretty full from eating most of the brownie by myself (don't judge me), but my boyfriend really liked the cotton candy. We were really impressed with West overall! I think we can add this to our list of splurge-worthy restaurants and come back sometime.

We frequent West almost weekly now and have always had a good experience. Their menu has a good range of options, including gluten-free & vegetarian/vegan selections that are delicious. My favorite is the Kale Salad - absolutely divine - and the bf likes getting their Airline Chicken or their Filet. We usually sit at the bar - the bartenders are friendly, take good care of you & make good drinks.

Not busy for lunch at all, so I was a little surprised about the wait for food being a little slow for our table of eight. Maybe our server was just a little inexperienced. He was very nice though. Lots of hard surfaces inside, so I bet it could get very loud in the evening. The patio is very relaxing--one of the nicest we've found in the area. We feel at home with the crowd West seems to attract. By the way, West makes an amazing grilled cheese sandwich--share one with a couple dirty martinis!

Trendy and tasty. West has a large patio and bar. There is a variety of booths and tables inside with plenty of space so as not to feel like you're sitting with the table next to you. The #9 pizza appetizer is my favorite item they have but timid not always available. The Sunday brunch is very good. Portions are good and everything tastes fresh and flavorful.

We did choose the busiest weekend to go for the first time so I am going to do a re-review at a later date. However; after waiting 1 1/4 hours for our table (20 minutes after the designated time) we enjoyed complimentary vegan nachos. Delicious - topped with black beans and cashew butter - yes. . . very tasty - I was surprised. I chose Penne Arribiata but it could have definitely been alot spicier. My hubby had the pork tenderloin which I thought was very good - he thought it was dry. The wine choice was good. The service was also good considering how busy it was. The restaurant is extremely noisy so if you are looking for an intimate dining venue - this is not it. I'll go back again but I am hoping the food is tastier. Also - the Bellini Martini was great.

As a recent transplant from NYC I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to find a fresh, chic, un complicated spot with reliable fare and a decent wine list here in OKC. Hell-o WEST! I was able to order fancy Balsamic glazed brussels sprouts and to die for zucca chips as well as select several wines by the glass including a Del Fin del Mundo - yum. I was thrilled! A lovely server took care of us with sweet charm and unfussy attentiveness , I am woe to report I forgot her name! I shall return and come back to give her due credit on my review - West is fabulous!

West has a great ambiance and food to match. I went here with my fiancé's mother and sister. To start, we ordered the Chopped Grilled Asparagus salad and the Brussels Sprout salad. I really loved the latter, and it totally inspired me to utilize Brussels sprouts by separating the leaves and blanching them instead of just roasting them whole in the oven. I am also a fan of any restaurant that makes their food more accessible by offering gluten-free options. My future sister-in-law has Celiac disease, so she definitely appreciates this too! All of West's pastas can be made with their gluten-free pasta for no extra charge. She went with the West Bolognese, and thoroughly enjoyed it. She did, however, have left overs. That's another thing about West-- at first glance, you might think this is just another high end, over-priced dinner joint located conveniently close to the Chesapeake executives' offices, but the menu is actually full of value. The pastas, for instance, range from $13 to $16 and can easily feed two if supplemented with a salad or appetizer. My future MOI ordered their Chicken Vegetable Pot Pie ($14), and I ordered their special that night: a scallop dish with roast corn puree and arancini (risotto balls). The chicken vegetable pot pie was decadent, but not the best I've ever tasted. The scallop special was truly delicious, and I highly recommend it. I definitely recommend West for a nice dinner out. The service was great, the ambiance is nice, and the food is really tasty!

I always get the grilled Caesar salad because it's sooo good. Probably nothing healthy about it, though! It has cornbread style croutons, Parmesan + grilled leaves of lettuce. It's amazing! I also love that they bring cotton candy to every table. Unfortunately I didn't love that they don't have espresso anymore! I also have had trouble finding anything else all that great on the menu besides the salad....

Great ambiance, great service, good food. Quite a large selection of vegetarian fare - Started off with the blue cheese potato chips (house special; not on the menu) - They were okay. The balsamic vinegrette drizzle was a bit too sweet and the chips were mushy. The ones at Norman's Blu are far superior. I had a cup of the French onion soup, which was quite a treat! Unlike most places that use a beef broth base, this one's vegetarian - Soup was good, but too many onions and not enough broth for my taste. I enjoy a heartier cream sauce for my pastas, so ended up switching out the tomato basil sauce with the vodka cream sauce on the Pasta Pomodoro plate - Pasta was good! It has spinach and asparagus mixed in, and topped with fresh mozzarella cheese - Definitely hit the spot for my comfort-food craving! Friend had the chicken fried beef tenderloins and hubby had the bow-tie pasta with smoked salmon - Their reviews: beef tenderloin = very good! Salmon pasta = ok. Drinks were okay - friend had the cucumber vodka martini (too strong on the vodka), I had the sweet tea ice pick cocktail - tasted just like an "adult" sweet tea - Quite good! Hubby had the usual fruity drinks (a pomegranate something-or-other and a peach martini) - tasted just like they sound (which is a good thing for those who enjoy fruity drinks). They also have a good wine selection. We went on a Fri night and they had a couple of gentlemen (one on electric keyboard, the other on sax) playing live "lounge" music - The restaurant already gets quite loud, so could have done without, or at least would have preferred indie-covers over the usual Elton John/Beatles covers. Good food and reasonable prices - Would recommend as a good place to meet up with friends! (especially for those groups who have a mixture of vegetarians and carnivores)

Just moved to Okc from San Antonio. I frequent chick filet at least three times a week! I Never had order mess up is Texas but this location has messed up my order the two times I have been there! How can chick filet be so such a deferent experience? This location needs new management!

Food was good the thing I really would "complain" about how long it takes for the food to come out. We ordered brunch which is simple eggs, and it took literally 30 minutes. Although it took so long the food was pretty good and their Henderson Coffee is of course awesome!

I've been to this place several times and have had nothing but fantastic service and great food! Brunch is amazing, dinner is great and I'm not sure how they got noted as not good for children b/c they are excellent with children. My son (2ish) was treated great. They brought his drink out first (b/c he kept asking for juice) and it already had a straw and lid.

Decided on West this year for my birthday. Didn't disappoint. I had never been so it was nice that it had different entrees. I got the meatloaf. It was the best I've had and different than I've ever had. The staff is also the key to the experience. They are attentive and always polite.

Great Bar, comfortable seating, easily navigatable floor plan. Service was excellent. Very attentive to your needs. We really went all out on our first trip to West. We had the Zuccha chips, as well as the onion rings for appetizers! Yeah, thats right, two appetizers!! Both were very tasty. The Zuccha chips were a great blend of salty/crunchy and light, and the onion rings were crunchy sweet, & savory My dish was the filet & enchiladas. I found the filet to be wonderful, and the enchiladas were average. The sauce for the enchiladas was a little too sweet for my liking. I would've preferred more of a sour cream type base, but still worth a shot if you haven't tried it. My Fiance had the Filet w/ Bleu Cheese served w/ a red wine reduction along with new potatoes and onions. ( I did eat from her plate, and it was awesome!!! Loved the pairing of the potatoes, onions, filet, and bleu cheese!!!) As a bonus, on your first visit to "West" you get a complimentary dessert! We enjoyed a staple comfort food; chocolate chip cookies with a glass of cold milk!!! Overall, I think this is a fantastic place and I will definitely be visiting this West again.

I had heard good things about this place, and being in OKC for 1 month for a work training I thought I'd check it out. Hmmm, not so good, but I"m trying to be fair as I live in Sydney Australia-one of the top foodie towns in the world. I was with a friend and we're both vegan, so I know we're not the mainstream food types in this town as well. But anyway, we had the vegan nachos (kudos to them for even having vegan nachos on the menu). They were pretty yummy, but the chip wasn't corn, it was flour, which I didn't like as I prefer corn, but a small point I guess-don't order if you're gluten-free though. But on the plus the cheese was homemade from cashew, not the nasty vegan soy cheese, so that is a good thing! My friend had one of the veggie burgers, homemade- but it was small and dry and not really nourishing or filling. I ordered a vegetarian pasta with spinach and aspagagus(as per the menu) and I asked for gluten-free (again, impressed they even have this as an option) but the gluten-free pasta was think gluggy rice noodles which was pretty disgusting, and there are a lot of good gluten-free pastas out there, this wasn't one of them. There was no spinach to be found, and hardly any asparagus, so it was basically a huge bowl of rice noodles with some canned tasting tomato sauce. Gross in general. I had a bloody mary which was pretty tasty, and helped ease the pain of the fairly underwhelming lunch. I'll keep looking for some OKC restaurants, as this won't be one I'll be returning to.

I have been to West several times for lunch, dinner and brunch and I have never been disappointed with anything that I've ordered. For an appetizer their Zuccha Chips are amazing and the quantity is definitely enough to share with others. For lunch and dinner I've had the bowtie pasta w/ salmon and the West grilled cheese. Their grilled cheese is hands down the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had and it's pretty much my standard order now. For brunch, I had their breakfast quesadilla and it was awesome as well. The vibe is cool and I really like how they've decorated the place. This will definitely be a place I go back to in the future.

Love the ambiance in here. The decor is awesome. That's what I first noticed when I walked in to meet my group of friends. We were promptly seated. Service was great, though a bit sporadic. Granted, not all of our party was present... so our waiter, Stephen, gave us time to look over the menu while everyone arrived. I had their house salad with basil vinaigrette. YUM. The veggie burger was... meh. Way too salty. I had a couple bites and decided it wasn't edible. The squash soup was way too sweet. I had a couple spoonfuls, but I couldn't stomach the rest. I do like that you can tell them no gluten or that you're vegan, and they'll adjust their entrees as needed. I do wish they'd expand their wines-by-the-glass offerings. I felt they were a little underwhelming. I think the atmosphere is amazing. They could improve their food a bit more for people who skip the meat. Salt doe not equal flavor. Nor does an overly sugared soup. If I ever go back, I'll just piece a meal together: salad, yucca chips, maybe try the vegan nachos... Would I recommend this place? Yes. It's great when you have a diverse group of people who like a wide variety of choices.

In a word, brilliant! There are very few restaurants in the metro that have risen to the challenge of culinary excellence, but west did it. I will say that the menu is pricey, but in my opinion you get what you pay for. The ambiance was classy and well laid out. plating was carefully thought out and you could tell the kitchen took pride in thier work. and the waitstaff was not only friendly but informative as well. We started with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and an order of the west chips, kettle cooked chips tossed in blue cheese fondue and drizzled with balsamic vinegar, next we moved on to the entrées we both ordered pasta dishes. In all honesty there could have been more distinction in the flavors, but they were still delicious. Next we moved on to dessert. Our server comp'd us a blue berry turn over server with a side if vanilla ice cream. And it was wonderful. It almost tasted more like a sopapia stuffed with fresh fruit. Our actual dessert was a goat cheese bread pudding that was to rich and flavorful it literally melted on your tongue and gave your taste buds such a wonderful sensation of sweet and savory. Finally we topped the night off with a glass of 25yr single malt scotch and a nice cigar in the outdoor private lounge set adjacent to the building. And the homemade cotton candy served with check was a nice light and fresh take on the traditional dinner mint.

This is a bit of a delayed review. I went about 2 months ago. I was surprised that the prices were so reasonable...I just thought it would be very high end, but not the case. Prices in the Chilli's range. I had the meatloaf - which was not my fave but good. I wish I would have gotten the pot pie, my pal got it and it was so good! The drink menu was great with fresh juices and a full list of skinny drink options. All in all - great visit and good staff. Nice looking place too. I will go back.

This place seems to be trying too hard to have edgy, unique menu items and they are just not pulling it off. We love to try new things but nothing really looked appealing on the dinner menu, so much so that my husband ordered 2 appetizers for his meal instead. He didn't care much for either of them. I ordered the $20 burger and it was not very impressive - I disliked the truffle fries that came with it too. With so many other places to try, I don't think we will go back.

I was invited to go to West a few weeks back as a part of a group dinner and it was my first visit. Entering the restaurant it had a modern feel with the obligatory hard surfaces so with a full house it is a place where you are not going to have a quiet dinner but that was good for the mood of the group. From entering to being greeted at the table by the wait staff, it exuded an air of friendliness. The service was prompt but not rushed and the menu was varied and very Americanized which I must say is a wide angle genre but the menu made this about the best i have seen in town. My eyes focused on Ahi Tuna, one of my favorites and I quickly said that's for me. My only mistake is not reading carefully that this was being served with mashed potatoes which i thought was strange, but as I said this is an Americanized menu. For those who are not meat and potatoes lovers don't worry, they have a wonderful plate of seasonal vegetables with cous cous. They have great salads, varied first courses, and of course meet lovers with be very pleased. West will not be a regular stopping place for me since I am more about fresh vegetables and fish, but i would recommend this for regular dinners, and for those like me who go to these kinds of places on special occasions don't worry, the menu is broad enough to satisfy everyone. I am glad that West is in Oklahoma City to add to the variety of excellent eating establishments going up around town as OKC builds itself into a major league city.

West These redvelvet pancakes had me.in . a red velvet heaven. The whipped cream is fluffed with cream cheese and shaved Godiva chocolate. Lets just say I had these bad boys for brunch two days in a row. Saturday & Sunday. French Toast & Bacon - The West has the best French toast in Oklahoma city. Go check out their brunch on Saturdays/ Sundays From 10 am until 4pm. You will be glad you did.You will be hooked. enjoy $3 mamosa.Steak N Eggs - My go to brunch @ The West. Love there steak n eggs so fluffy. I usually hate eggs, but these I can stomach.Chef Eric smith - I think chef Eric smith should have, been in the top 3 best chef in Oklahoma. owner RIck is a sweet heart always so friendly. Now i hear of the bad dinner reviews of the food being overpriced. I Just to the Brunch it never fails.

Overpriced. The food is fine, and might even be good if the prices were better. As it stands, however, you walk away feeling like you got a raw deal. That said, the staff is fantastic an it has a pretty decent atmosphere. Sit at the bar and have a drink -- but don't look for a dinner/lunch that will wow or keep you coming back.

The last time I was in New York, my stomach was growling and nearly digesting itself. The problem was that it was a culinary heaven, and I couldn't decide on a place, thinking an even better one has to be down the street, growing ever hungrier and more temperamental with myself to just pick a damn restaurant already. I had a similar conundrum at West... but instead of everything looking good, it was a matter of which would devastate my stomach the least. I went with a group of people and must say, the ambiance of the place... is the best part about it. I was reading the lunch menu, which for me was "indigestion, indigestion, nausea, nausea, extreme nausea, nausea, indigestion..." I've heard people complain about wanting to travel to exotic countries, but fearing the food. That's how I felt reading the menu, though I could understand what was in each dish. They had a few things that came close, but just ruined it somehow. The veggie burger sounded good, until I got to the part about roasted beets. Eventually I gave up and just had a cocktail for lunch. Don't judge. When they brought the food and I saw what everyone ordered... I can happily say I made the right decision to abstain. I did sample an appetizer with hummus, and it was amongst the worst I've ever tasted. It didn't help that the bread on the side was one part bread, thirty-seven parts butter. Someone ordered a sandwich that sounded at least somewhat healthy, but his fingers were just coated in grease while eating it. I think I would actually eat a meal from here if I were in the building when a devastating earthquake hit, and as it could be days until rescue, I would need a week's worth of calories in one sandwich. That, or if I were to develop a masochistic streak and punish my stomach (and myself for a few days afterward). So... I give it two stars for ambiance and cocktails, but can't give more for limited options and hummus that would make your Grandma Ruqqayah turn in her grave.

Don't waste your money here. The ambiance is lovely at West; however, an intimate, pleasant ambiance unfortunately does not correlate with good food. Now, I ordered the "Simple Plate of Veggies" for my entree, and simple is not the right word -- try boring, gross, bland, etc. The veggies were undercooked, and the quinoa had an odd texture, size, and flavor I had never encountered and hope to never encounter again. The dish itself was not very filling -- for an expensive meal, that was very disappointing and frankly, irritating. The zuccha chips they brought out for an appetizer were ok, but not worth going back for more. So, meh. Although I did like the atmosphere of a dark, cozy restaurant, I'd rather dine elsewhere for a better meal.

I had a great experience at West. I took my mom out for brunch and our service was very prompt and the entire staff was friendly. It only took about 5 minutes to get our food which also surprised the server! The French toast was amazing. I'll definitely be back!

Good food and drinks and a fun patio. This is a pretty good place for all occasions - I've held group meetings here during happy hour when they have several appetizer specials, the brunch is great and has lunch options available as well, and it's a nice place for dinner in general. I've had good experiences with the service and they specials can be especially good. Ask for the Valentina - a fun summer cocktail with champagne and strawberries!

West is quickly becoming my favorite brunch place in the metro. I have eaten lunch, dinner, and had happy hour there, but I am going to focus on brunch here. The create your own frittata option is genius- smaller and less greasy than an omelet, and it just feels fancier. Pick your choice of meats, cheeses, veggies, and dig in. The rosemary potatoes are perfectly cooked (white and sweet potatoes), add a side of fruit and you will 1) have a well-rounded meal and 2) be sufficiently stuffed. Mimosas and bloody Marys will set you back $3, but I recommend a double! It is also totally acceptable to get a mixed drink with your brunch here- you won't be alone. The real trifecta is a mimosa, water, and coffee- hydrate, caffeinate, and recover from the night before. To round it all out, service is fast, attentive, and pleasant. If you do brunch/lunch here, remember your Keep it Local for 10% off. What's not to love?!

One of my favorite places in OKC! Exceptional food! Visit at least twice a month. An "upscale" restaurant without being too stuffy and offering menu selection for everyone. The service can sometimes be slow (I've had that once/twice) but for the most part is great!

Very cool atmosphere and the food is superb! The tomato basil soup is soooo good! And if you like small portions of amazing food then the Appetizer menu is your menu at West! The Vegan Nachos are a delightful take on regular nachos and I would put these up against any of the tastiest! The Smoked Chick Quesadillas are also some of the best I have ever tasted. This is definitely a trendy hot spot for the "in-crowd" of OKC right now.. So of course I am here a lot! HA! Just kidding.. I do love this place though. Refreshing for OKC to have somewhere like this to take out-of-towners now who usually only here of the infamous Cattlemans or one of the other hundreds of steakhouses in this town.

This was the second time I've been here. The first time we went we got appetizers and drinks at the bar. The second time we went for brunch. I ordered enchiladas and eggs and the mister ordered the breakfast quesadillas. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the mimosas are tasty. It did take us 45 minutes to get our food though, the kitchen lost our ticket and staff was very apologetic and friendly and our brunch was comped! We will def be back for more west. They have revamped the menu since the first time we were there and there are a lot more veg options now!

I was a little concerned when I pulled up because the parking lot was pretty empty but this place is fantastic. The frittata bar was a great choice for brunch as well as the double mimosa. The ambience of the place is also really beautiful. The wait staff at West were also great, very friendly and attentive. To top off this great experience brunch and drinks are very well priced. If I lived in the area I would definitely want to check this place out for dinner or an after work drink.

This was my second time to visit West. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food was excellent + the service was excellent. Perfect place to conduct a business lunch. The place was packed but we didn't have to talk others to get our business done. The server was so good, she actually sold us the cookies & milk. WOW fresh/hot out of the oven. Great desert. I'll be going back & plan to host more of my lunch meetings there.

pretty decent! i was in town for my good friend's wedding and the reception was here. the whole restaurant was closed off. i had two gin and tonics and they were well done. good amount of gin, not overpowering. they had appetizers, fried zucchini chips, sweet potato fries, and something else but don't remember. the zucchini chips were way too salty. but the other apps were quite good. the salad was very nice, spring greens, the dressing (i think a ranch dressing with a red tint to it) was very good, fresh home-made taste. i ordered "beef" on the wedding invite. this turned out to be the biggest chicken fried steak i had ever seen. i loved fried food, but this huge. it was like 10inx4in. it came with corn and some potatoes. i think maybe some greens/carrots would have balanced the heaviness better than corn/potatoes. overall it was pretty good but a few things were off as mentioned, wouldn't mind coming again however, i think they did nice job running the wedding reception.

Gluten free options was limited but VERY good. Had the crusted salmon. Initially the salmon came out cold. They were very concerned and made it right. The red mashed potatoes with the sauce was amazing. A little less chatting among the servers would have earned this place 5 stars.

So, we went to West with pretty high expectations. That being said.. I'll just say we were satisfied. The check was $101 on a Sunday for brunch however. We started out with the purée trio for the appetizer. It was oook. We order "trio" at another okc restaurant and it's far superior. My drink of voice was the Belini Martini.. It was pretty tasty. I had 2. For our main course my husband chose the Meatloaf with Mac and cheese and green beans. He said " the meatloaf at the local meat market is better." I did steel a few bites of Mac n cheese and it was delish! I chose the Portabello Caprese vegetarian sandwich. It was tasty. However, the bread was slightly overpowering. Needed more veggies or something. I will say that the atmosphere is great, service was great, and we will probably go back for round 2.

Loved the fruit cheese plate for our appetizer. It was served with grapes, pineapple, 4 cheeses, pecans, bread. I had the risotto for my main course, very well prepared & hot. My husband tried the burger and uncle enjoyed the chili encrusted salmon. The most interesting part was the cotton candy we were presented with at the end of our meal.

Food was mediocre! Chicken fried tenderloin was not great esp little more expensive than your usual ones and the gravy was definitely not good. Not creamy but kinda cheesy ! Definitely not your southern cooking ! Couldn't understand our waiter as he spoke fast and low voiced which sounded like a muffled! lol!

I thought I'd update my earlier reviews... After having eaten here many, many times now, I think I understand the wide disparity in the opinions. West is really a hit and miss kind of place. Sometimes the risotto is burnt sometimes it's perfect. Sometimes a medium steak is burnt to a crisp and sometimes it's rare enough to get up and walk off the plate. Sometimes a cocktail is just perfect and the next time it's like rocket fuel. The wait staff and the atmosphere are always top notch. I'm not sure if that's worth the always consistent price tag anymore.

I'm consistently pleased every time I come here. Whether it's for business lunches or dinner with the SO, these folks do a really nice job. The food features quality ingredients and is well prepared. The decor is up to date without being sterile or contrite. The service is friendly and attentive (although a touch overbearing at times in a business setting). I'll return, and often. Recommended.

West was a great spot in Oklahoma City. I was there in my soccer jersey and jeans sitting at the bar next to what appeared to be a bunch of oil tycoons... either that or it was just a bunch of old men in suits drinking and loudly talking about how much the price per barrel was... boring. Anyway, the food at West was great. I had the vegan nachos which I ordered off the menu... they were once on there, but I guess in OKC, saying the word Vegan is a turn off. They were incredible and interesting. I had never had vegan nachos made int he traditional 6 chips on a plate method. And they were also kindof sweet with the caramelized onions on it. Unique and great. I also had brussels sprouts salad, which I have to tell you was surprisingly the best I've ever had. The sprouts weren't deep fried as far as I could tell.. I think they were blanched and tossed with lighter fruit, etc to make a nice, not-heavy salad. Usually brussels sprouts are grossly over fried and spicy. This was not. I would absolutely recommend that salad to anyone. It was great! The service was awesome. The bartender was super informed and chill....just a cool guy who knew where to go in town to get great coffee. If you live in Oklahoma City and haven't been here yet, you need to go.

Decided on West this year for my birthday. Didn't disappoint. I had never been so it was nice that it had different entrees. I got the meatloaf. It was the best I've had and different than I've ever had. The staff is also the key to the experience. They are attentive and always polite.

This was my first lunch here I ordered the theta burger. It was just ok service was ok. The server asked if I was still working on my plate while I was still chewing my food. Like I said overall it was just ok.

Couldn't understand our waiter as he spoke fast and low voiced which sounded like a muffled! lol!

My favorite is the Kale Salad - absolutely divine - and the bf likes getting their Airline Chicken or their Filet. We usually sit at the bar - the bartenders are friendly, take good care of you & make good drinks.

This was my first lunch here I ordered the theta burger. It was just ok service was ok. The server asked if I was still working on my plate while I was still chewing my food. Like I said overall it was just ok.

Couldn't understand our waiter as he spoke fast and low voiced which sounded like a muffled! lol!

Food was good the thing I really would "complain" about how long it takes for the food to come out. We ordered brunch which is simple eggs, and it took literally 30 minutes. Although it took so long the food was pretty good and their Henderson Coffee is of course awesome!

If I lived in the area I would definitely want to check this place out for dinner or an after work drink.

pretty decent! i was in town for my good friend's wedding and the reception was here. the whole restaurant was closed off. i had two gin and tonics and they were well done. good amount of gin, not overpowering. they had appetizers, fried zucchini chips, sweet potato fries, and something else but don't remember. the zucchini chips were way too salty. but the other apps were quite good. the salad was very nice, spring greens, the dressing (i think a ranch dressing with a red tint to it) was very good, fresh home-made taste. i ordered "beef" on the wedding invite. this turned out to be the biggest chicken fried steak i had ever seen. i loved fried food, but this huge. it was like 10inx4in. it came with corn and some potatoes. i think maybe some greens/carrots would have balanced the heaviness better than corn/potatoes. overall it was pretty good but a few things were off as mentioned, wouldn't mind coming again however, i think they did nice job running the wedding reception.

Gluten free options was limited but VERY good. Had the crusted salmon. Initially the salmon came out cold. They were very concerned and made it right. The red mashed potatoes with the sauce was amazing. A little less chatting among the servers would have earned this place 5 stars.

Food was great. Service was good too. My only complaint was in how the staff looked at me and my daughter while we were dinning. Like we didn't belong there. The manager was even making the rounds and skipped our table.

You can always expect great food and attentive service. The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing date night. We eat out often and West is always in our top three list of "where to go". The menu choices for brunch, lunch, and dinner are all mouth watering.

Decided on West this year for my birthday. Didn't disappoint. I had never been so it was nice that it had different entrees. I got the meatloaf. It was the best I've had and different than I've ever had. The staff is also the key to the experience. They are attentive and always polite.

One of my favorite places in OKC! Exceptional food! Visit at least twice a month. An "upscale" restaurant without being too stuffy and offering menu selection for everyone. Favorites include the West Mac N Cheese, Ahi Tuna, Organic Half Chicken, Zuccha Chips, and Bread Pudding. Great seasonal fair! The service can sometimes be slow (I've had that once/twice) but for the most part is great!

Never again. Went there today for lunch and both of our meals were sub par. I had the tenderloin sandwich which was overpowered by the brazed onions and the arugula, both of which has some sort of dressing on them. The meat looked to be cooked perfectly, but I couldn't taste it. I can still taste the onions and I left there an hour ago. My wife had the fish and chips. Fish was soggy and super-soft. Instead of providing a standard bottle of malted vinegar, they give you some pump-spray bottle that streams vinegar onto your fish, your chips, the table and the person sitting across from you. No thanks.

Just moved to Okc from San Antonio. I frequent chick filet at least three times a week! I Never had order mess up is Texas but this location has messed up my order the two times I have been there! How can chick filet be so such a deferent experience? This location needs new management!

I dropped in for a few glasses of wine and even after half the bottle I was not impressed with this place. It really tries to be upscale yet fails in delivery.

Fantastic! Our server was awesome, the food was delicious, the price was good, and then they brought us complimentary cotton candy!

Just moved to Okc from San Antonio. I frequent chick filet at least three times a week! I Never had order mess up is Texas but this location has messed up my order the two times I have been there! How can chick filet be so such a deferent experience? This location needs new management!

My fish and chips ended up being under cooked and as a result I got food poisoning! Yikes! Otherwise it's a great place.

Food was good the thing I really would "complain" about how long it takes for the food to come out. We ordered brunch which is simple eggs, and it took literally 30 minutes. Although it took so long the food was pretty good and their Henderson Coffee is of course awesome!
